About RELAX LAB
RELAX JUKEBOX is developing music selection controls. Its separate test component, RELAX ONLINE VIDEO LAB, uses YouTube Data API v3 and the official YouTube IFrame Player. It runs locally on the owner's computer for private, non-commercial development testing by one operator.
This public website provides the application description and documentation. The application itself does not run at this address and is not available to the general public.
User workflow
Read and accept the policies
The operator reads the terms and privacy policy and confirms acceptance before the features become available. The owner enters their YouTube API key into a separate local form on their own computer.
Manually search for a music video
The operator enters a query and presses Search. One search.list request returns up to eight YouTube results. Typing does not send requests, and the application does not automatically fetch further result pages.
Select and verify a video
Selecting a result triggers a metadata check through videos.list. The private prototype limits testing to embeddable music videos without live streams or age restrictions, and a duration of up to 15 minutes. These are prototype restrictions. Full features are available directly on YouTube.
Use the visible YouTube player
Opening the player page connects to YouTube. Playback starts only when the operator manually presses Play. Hiding the page removes the embedded player. YouTube provides the video, controls and any advertisements.
Data handling
The application uses public YouTube results. It does not use Google sign-in, access private playlists or subscriptions, or modify a user's account. The owner enters the API key locally. The local server uses it to authenticate requests to Google; this public website does not request it.
Videos and music are not downloaded or stored in an offline library, and audio is not separated from video. See the privacy policy for temporary data handling and Google services.
